WILD GOOSE QIGONG
TUESDAY AFTERNOONS, FEB 6 – MAY 22, 4 – 5:30pm
BUSHROD PARK, OAKLAND
$140 ~ Register by FEB 2 ($165 After)
Wild Goose Qigong is a breathtakingly beautiful Taoist alchemical movement practice that harmonizes movement, breathing, attention, and energetic flow. It helps people experience the inheritance of their self-healing. In this twelve-week series, our practice will concentrate on Spiral ~ Set Four, and additionally we will practice foundational qigong movement warm-ups and meditations. The forms emerged over a thousand years ago, inspired by the movements of geese, and were popularized in China after centuries of privacy through qigong master Yang Mei-jun. Our weekly classes will incorporate interests from the group, and sections from the several additional pertinent Wild Goose sets — each one offers different qualities of the movement of our qi.
The final day, May 22, is a rain date, in case one class is missed.
Twelve-week series. No class FEB 27, APR 24, MAY 1.

SPRING QIGONG SERIES
WEDNESDAYS, MARCH 14 – APRIL 4, 5 – 6:30pm
EAST BAY PARK, TBA
$60 ~ Register by MARCH 9 ($75 After)
This five-week qigong series is an outdoor qigong class that will focus on dynamics, agility, and flow in gentle foundational movements of Wild Goose Qigong. The class will offer simple qigong movements that will be repeated, with discussion of how qi moves, — to cultivate qi, and to develop an ongoing practice for those who participate. We will focus on the connectedness of movement, awareness, and breath. This workshop will be based on a medical qigong practice for people who want to improve their health, gain a basic practice in qigong, +/or a foundation for deeper inquiries regarding the principles of qi for those who are already in the study of Chinese energetics. This class is a great complement to the longer Wild Goose series, and can be studied singly. Qigong — both relaxing and energizing.
April 11 is the rain date.
QIGONG PRACTICE / PRAXIS ~ SHEN
TWO-CLASS SERIES, DATES TBD
This series will provide a space for praxis-based transitions from spring to summer — of the body-being and the mind. We will engage with meditation, qigong, and develop our understandings of Taoist alchemical practices through various kinds of language, ideas, and the space of rest, with a focus on our heart-mind, or shen. We will take out some books and look at the poetics and languaging pertinent for qigong and this particular elemental force and energy, and nest the conversation in an investigation of the transit of these ideas to the West, and the complexities of the cultural and historical challenges that surround the nature of intercultural praxis. In our time together, we will access some basic and potent principles that underlie our cultivation of qi — our vital breath, and the space that comes from cultivating shen, and we will use some creative tools to enliven this process. This will be an opportunity to deepen your qigong practice / praxis.
All registration finalized with payment. Please send payment via check, Paypal, Square Cash, Venmo, or regular cash. Payment is non-refundable, but can be transferred to other classes for extraordinary circumstances. email@example.com
